Dominica is fortunate to be one of the safest countries in the world at the moment. The government of Dominica had time to prepare for the arrival of coronavirus on the island (the first case was registered on March 21, 2020), study the experience of fighting the virus in other countries, take the necessary measures and successfully curb the spread of coronavirus. Dominica is one of the few countries in the Caribbean that has its own well-established coronavirus testing system, which facilitated the detection of all active cases of coronavirus. The country also received huge support from the international community: doctors from Cuba came to help and share experience in the fight against coronavirus, and from China Jack Ma Foundation and Alibaba Foundation Dominica received free medication and masks. Communication with the World Health Organization helped the Dominica government to keep abreast.
